We are proud to promote Malanda State High School as a “Place to Excel” and we offer students at our school tremendous opportunities and support.  As a school we focus on each student as an individual. We are determined to make the learning experience at Malanda State High a success for every student, irrespective of their prior learning or social background.
To ensure this happens, all enrolments are completed through an enrolment interview with a Head of Student Support, and parents need to contact the school and make an appointment for this to occur.  Parents/caregivers and the student need to be present at the interview.  We also have an extensive Transition to High School Program for year 6 students with activities commencing in term one each year.
You should bring to the interview:
  • A completed enrolment application form;
  • Documents relating to our Enrolment Management Plan (EMP)
  • Student’s report cards from previous schools;
  • Student’s birth certificate (passport or visa documents will suffice);
  • Family Law Court Orders (if applicable);
  • Doctor’s letters for medication/illness;
  • Any other information that may assist with the enrolment process.

Should you require any further information, please contact the school.

The Student Code of Conduct should be read in conjunction with the application for enrolment form.
