My name is Emma Hicks and my role is part of the Government's Wellbeing package established to support youong people and their families overcome the challenges associated with mild to moderate mental health concerns. By assisting young people, they will be able to continue to confidently and successfully participate in the education setting.
How I will support students and their families:
- Provide support to students and their families with mild to moderate mental health concerns
- Provide ongoing one on one therapeutic intervention to students
- Provide support to families on the needs of the student (including tips, strategies, parenting and observation support)
- Provide group education and support sessions to students, staff and families
Where can you find me?
- Student referrals can be made theough the school Wellbeing Team
- I am at school every Wednesday and Thursday
- I am located in the Wellbeing Hub near E Block on Wednesday's and located in the Guidance Officer room on Thursday's.
- During lunch breaks you will usually find me out and about walking around the grounds, having general conversations
- For some lessons, I will be in classrooms.
