Malanda State High School is located on the Atherton Tablelands in Far North Queensland, Australia. A short 90 minute drive inland from Cairns within a fertile plateau of the Great Dividing Range.

Extracurricular Program
Malanda State High School has an extensive extracurricular program. The variety of cultural, sporting, and social activity the school supports is rich and regular. Students enjoy both lunchtime and after school activities including a Chess Club, Japanese Club, Coding and Robotics Club, Art Club, Cross Country Running Club and Mountain Biking - all led by our committed teachers. Music and drama, instrumental music, school choir and school band all contributeto the wide variety of cultural activities offered to our students.
