Visiting architect

Christina shares her work with students
Thirty students from Years 10, 11 and 12 were inspired by a recent visit to the school by Brisbane- based architect, Christina Cho. Christina presented a range of her work from house design through to multi-million dollar commercial projects in Brisbane, Perth and China. She outlined the long years of dedicated study required to become an architect by sharing her experiences at University of Queensland and UC Berkley near San Francisco. Students were very interested to hear her stories of her work with the art group, Rice Cake Mafia and thoroughly enjoyed discussing her work and art interests including installation art projects in Tokyo and Brisbane.
Students gain such great insight into the world of work beyond the classroom and are able to see real life applications for their studies thanks to regular visits from professional people visiting our school. Science students will be the next beneficiaries of the visiting expert program with a troupe of physics students from University of Queensland presenting to students next term.
